Dr. Marie Foegh has previously worked in leading gynecology and obstetrics departments in Copenhagen. She served as a resident physician in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Rigshospitalet, and later as a Senior Resident at Herlev Hospital’s Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She later moved to the United States, where she was selected Associate Professor in the Division of Transplantation at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. There, she was responsible for organ transplantation and research on the effects of estrogen on the immune system.
Throughout her career, Dr. Foegh has held numerous national and international academic positions, including lectureships and visiting professorships. She has published over 150 scientific articles and contributed to more than 40 book chapters, including several key medical textbooks.
Dr. Foegh is passionate about women’s health and has been an advocate for several initiatives that support this cause.
